At the Sept. 2 meeting Trustee Mike Neville presented the first reading of two ordinances to establish the Cherryvale Mall Area Business District and to impose business district taxes in that district. Trustee Scott Kramer seconded both motions; both first readings carried on voice votes with all AYES and none opposed.
The items were presented as first readings only. No public comment or substantive discussion was recorded during the meeting; trustees indicated the ordinances would proceed through the statutory process for further consideration. The board did not adopt final ordinances at this meeting.
