Administrators brief board on curriculum, special education and school events ahead of school year
Summary
District administrators reported on MTSS math and reading data, induction and mentor programs, special education enrollment and handbook updates, and school start-time and event planning for the 2025-26 school year.
District staff provided several informational reports during the Aug. 14 meeting. Mr. Halpin presented curriculum and instruction updates including MTSS data for math and reading along with induction academy and mentor program notes. Mr. King updated the board on special education enrollment, early childhood education (ECE) items and planned handbook revisions.
Ms. Venegonia, Mrs. Rogers, Mrs. Bush and Ms. Martin reported on Central Primary School (CPS) and Central Intermediate School (CIS) events, enrollment, staffing, standard response protocols, updated master schedules with start-time changes, supply drop-off nights, a back-to-school bash and parent communication plans.
