Sheriff: FBI-LEEDA training completed by staff; jail population in low forties

Sheriff Ryan Swope reported Jan. 8 that department leadership has completed the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy training and that the department intends to continue command-level training. The transcript records that Undersheriff Shawn Schnoor, Detective Sergeant Klepadlo and Sergeant Swope recently completed the Trilogy, bringing the department to four personnel who have finished that training.
Swope also told the board that "The numbers in the jail are still higher than normal in the low forties" and that the department is fully staffed. Commissioners did not propose any policy changes during the report; no formal actions followed this agenda item in the meeting record.
