Three trustees certified unopposed; no election held in Zones 1, 4 and 5

Chairman Lon Harrington opened a procedural item confirming election results and asked the board to certify trustees for three zones after the filing period closed with no opposing candidates. The board declared Lon Harrington (Zone 1), Josh Sorensen (Zone 4) and Toni Ibarra (Zone 5) the trustees because they were the only people to file a Declaration of Candidacy and no write-in petitions were received within the required timeline.
Board member Carol Hepworth seconded the resolution read by Larin Mortimer; the motion carried with all board members present voting aye. Certificates of election were distributed, and the minutes note the newly certified trustees will be officially sworn in at the board’s Annual Meeting in January.
