During his FY26 presentation, Town Manager Greg Lunsford reported that enterprise funds are under pressure: "Expenses for water and sewer had increased. Electric costs had decreased, but the Town had lost revenue in that area," he said. Lunsford told council the town met with Brian O'Dell, General Manager of the Harrisonburg Electric Commission, who made recommendations about the town's electric service.
Lunsford did not provide dollar amounts or a timeline for implementing any recommendations; he framed the update as part of the FY26 financial overview and follow-up conversations with the regional electric provider. Council did not vote on any action related to enterprise funds during the work session.
