Millerton delays discussion on proposed tree committee pending attorney meeting

Mayor Jenn Najdek told trustees the board would postpone discussion of a proposed local law to create a tree committee at the Jan. 12 meeting and instead hold an attorney-client meeting to further discuss the proposal. She asked trustees to review the proposed law ahead of the attorney meeting and said she will schedule that meeting with the village attorney.
No motion or vote occurred at the meeting on the tree committee local law; the item was deferred pending the attorney-client meeting and additional trustee review.
