Monroe County Legislature approves bulk of March 11 agenda in unanimous omnibus vote

President Yversha Román presided as the Monroe County Legislature on March 11 approved the bulk of its agenda in a single omnibus motion. A motion by Majority Leader Michael Yudelson and Minority Leader Steve Brew "to move remaining agenda items as a whole except for item nos. 2, 6, 7, 11, 12, 16, 23, 24 and 25" passed 28-0.

The omnibus action cleared a package that included transportation and infrastructure items, contracts to support public health programs, and several grant acceptances. Resolutions approved as part of that package included authorizations for sewer-asset alterations related to Route 33A and Route 259 intersection improvements, an annual contribution to the Genesee/Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council, and a construction contract for the Attridge Road culvert project. Several items recorded conflicts of interest for specific legislators where noted in the minutes.

The omnibus vote also included a set of grants and contracts for public-health and safety work, among them state grants for forensic toxicology laboratory improvements and support for the County Nurse-Family Partnership program. The record shows multiple items were handled by committee before appearing on the full agenda and were adopted as presented.

The Legislature recessed during the meeting to accommodate a Rochester Pure Waters Administrative Board session and later reconvened under the usual order of business. The body adjourned at 8:05 P.M. until April 8, 2025.
