Resident asks trustees to clarify whether attached garages are accessory structures

Willie Alexander identified himself and his address and asked the board to add three land-use code questions to the next trustees’ packet related to his attached garage project. He asked: "Is it a garage? Is it not considered a garage an accessory structure?" He also sought clarification on stormwater-runoff requirements for accessory structures and asked about a change in state terminology for geologists from "registered" or "licensed" geologist to "professional geologist," and whether the town’s code criteria reflect that change.
Trustees agreed to add Alexander’s three questions to the next board packet and noted he might participate by Zoom while out of town. Staff and trustees said they would review the code and provide clarifications at the following meeting.
