The Town of Moira board closed its public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget after a presentation by town bookkeeper Angela Debeer. Debeer told the board the budget document is posted online at https://townofmoirany.gov and that a paper copy is filed with the Town Clerk for public inspection; the hearing was closed at 6:13 p.m.
Supervisor Chad Niles said there were no written or oral public comments during the hearing. The board set a special meeting for Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. specifically to adopt the FY2026 budget; the transcript states the budget must be adopted by Nov. 20. The board will vote at that special meeting on whether to adopt the proposed spending and tax levy for 2026.
The presentation and hearing were procedural steps required under town law; no budget amendments or votes on adoption occurred at the Nov. 12 meeting. Financial details and the full proposed budget were presented by the bookkeeper and remain available on the town website and at the Town Clerk’s office for review prior to the Nov. 18 meeting.
