Trustees review Team Rubicon follow-up after Red Cross home-fire mitigation pilot

Trustee (speaker 4) gave a recap of a pilot home-fire-mitigation program the American Red Cross ran for Green Mountain Falls and the volunteer follow-up by Team Rubicon. He said the pilot identified about 25 homes and that Team Rubicon completed most work but "there's still approximately 0.5 a dozen homes that are deficient from where a commitment was made through the American Red Cross program." The trustee said he and Trustee Walker would bring options to the FMAC meeting and recommended evaluating three approaches: asking Team Rubicon to return, using town resources and volunteers, or accepting the remaining gap for a later time.
A resident in public comment, Anne Ash (speaker 7), described her experience as a volunteer beneficiary and thanked the volunteers and trustees who worked on her property. Trustees said they saw potential for an ongoing relationship with Team Rubicon and asked staff and FMAC to develop next steps to close the remaining work.
