Fountain Creek Watershed District urges Green Mountain Falls to join Creek Week cleanup

"I'm really excited to be in front of you tonight to promote our 11th annual Creek Week cleanup," Shook said, and described the program’s scale: nine days of volunteer cleanups across the watershed.
Shook told trustees the program has engaged more than 25,000 volunteers over 10 years and removed roughly 150 tons of trash, and the district will supply bags, gloves and tools to local groups. The trustees approved the proclamation by voice vote. The presentation noted a cleanup already being planned for Green Mountain Falls and encouraged local participation and coordination with the district’s staff and volunteer organizers.
