Principals highlight Competency‑Based Education work and new Lakeview motto

Principal Jake Little told the board that teachers and staff spent the summer on professional development, refining assessments and preparing for the transition to Competency‑Based Education (CBE). He said the focus on adult learning is intended to improve student engagement and outcomes, with leadership participating in system improvements such as MTSS.
Lakeview Junior High will expand its ‘‘You Belong Here’’ theme with a new motto: "Your Best Starts Now," intended to reinforce a growth mindset and encourage continuous academic and emotional growth among students. Principal Little also described community events such as Pantherpalooza and other initiatives intended to strengthen family and student connections before the school year begins.
