The Village Board voted to amend Chapter 6 of the municipal code to create a No-Knock Registry and to require permits for solicitors, raising the permit fee from $25 to $50. Treasurer Nicole Callos explained the change during discussion; the ordinance passed on a unanimous voice vote.
Callos described the ordinance as implementing a registry option for residents who do not want door-to-door solicitation and raising permit fees to $50. "The price for a permit is being raised from $25 to $50," Callos said. Trustees approved Ordinance 26-004 on a motion by Trustee Smith with a second by Trustee Coomber.
