The Central School District 51 Board of Education on June 12, 2025 approved an amended FY2024–2025 budget following a public hearing at 7:01 p.m. Vice President Blundy opened the hearing, and no members of the public addressed the board before it closed the hearing at 7:06 p.m.
A motion by Mr. Fritz, seconded by Mrs. Devore, to approve the amended FY2024–2025 budget "as presented" passed on a roll-call vote: Ayes — Mrs. Devore, Mr. French, Mr. Fritz, Mr. Lang, Mrs. Beale and Mrs. Blundy; Nays — none; Absent — Mr. Rampenthal. The board recorded the approval during the regular meeting in Tazewell County.
Board members reviewed the district's revenue and expenditure reports for May 2025 earlier in the meeting. The record shows line items for local revenue and other funds in the May 2025 materials; the budget vote completes the board's formal authorization to operate under the amended spending plan for the remainder of FY2024–2025.
The board set its next regular meeting for July 10, 2025 at Central Intermediate School.
