The Village of Lena Board approved the final fiscal-year 2026–27 budget Tuesday, with Treasurer Nicole Callos presenting revenue of $6.4 million against projected expenses of $7.3 million. The board voted to adopt the budget on a motion by Trustee Peight, seconded by Trustee Rood; the motion carried unanimously.
Callos told the board that not all Illinois EPA (IEPA) funding and grants were yet included and that those amounts will be reflected in future fiscal reports. "Revenue reflects $6.4million, and expenses are $7.3million," Callos said. The board did not alter the adopted totals at the meeting and approved the document as presented. The action follows routine budget review and was taken after an executive-session personnel matter and subsequent approval of employee pay adjustments.
