At the July 9 meeting the Board approved the 2025 School Board Governance Recognition application and adopted a set of board policies after a final reading.
The motion to approve the 2025 School Board Governance Recognition application was made by Megan DuPass, seconded by Adam Sage, and passed unanimously. The Board then approved a special Board meeting to be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 (motion by Doug Wiley, seconded by Tiffany Watson). Later in the agenda, a motion by Tiffany Watson, seconded by Doug Wiley, approved the final reading and adoption of multiple Board policies.
The Board subsequently voted to enter executive session to discuss matters permitted under Illinois law, citing 5ILCS120/2(c)(1) and 5ILCS120/2(c)(3). After executive session the Board re-entered open session and adjourned at 9:36 p.m.
