Plan commission honors outgoing member Jeff Malcheski; mayor to appoint Dave Wharton Wyler

The Plan Commission honored commissioner Jeff Malcheski for seven years of service to the city (2018–2025). Administrator Renee noted Malcheski has moved outside the city limits and is therefore no longer eligible to serve on the commission.
"He has been serving for 7 years from 2018," Administrator Renee said in the recognition. Renee told the commission that Mayor will appoint Dave Wharton Wyler next Tuesday, with the council expected to confirm the appointment; staff described Wyler as an RDA member with experience in public-works and building inspection, including zoning work in Evansville.
The Chair thanked Malcheski for his knowledge and involvement in the community. No formal vote was recorded on the recognition; staff said the appointment would occur next week and the new appointee would join the commission pending mayoral appointment and council confirmation.
