Public Works Superintendent Bruce Wolfred told the council on May 12 that the town tractor required repairs and presented a quote from Ocala Tractor not to exceed $4,786.17. Council approved the repair by unanimous vote (motion: Councilwoman Evans; second: Councilwoman Mead).
Wolfred also recommended the purchase of a non-commercial leaf vacuum from 10 Little Engines of Gainesville for $3,738.99; council approved that purchase (motion: Councilwoman Evans; second: Councilman Swanson). Council members asked routine budget and warranty questions; Doris Carol inquired specifically about the machine warranty. The votes on both items were recorded as unanimous in the meeting minutes.
