Central SD 51 board approves consent agenda, financial reports and handbooks

The Board of Education for Central School District 51 voted July 10 to approve a consent agenda that included payment of extra bills dated June 25, June 30 and July 3; the district's fourth-quarter financial report; the fourth-quarter activity fund report; minutes from the June 12 regular meeting and July 7 special and executive-session meetings; and student handbooks for Central Primary School and Central Intermediate School for the 2025'1 school year.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Mr. Lang and seconded by Mrs. Beale. The minutes record the outcome: "Motion carried on roll call vote: Ayes: Mrs. Beale, Mrs. Blundy, Mrs. Devore, Mr. French, Mr. Lang and Mr. Rampenthal; Nays: None; Absent: Mr. Fritz." The board set its next regular meeting for Aug. 14, 2025, at Central Intermediate School.
Why it matters: approving the financial and activity reports finalizes the district's quarterly accounting for the year-to-date period and clears routine administrative items so staff can proceed with summer and fall operational preparations.
