The board approved renewal of property, liability and cyber liability insurance through the Suburban School Cooperative Insurance Pool (SSCIP) at the Jan. 8 meeting. Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations Amy McPartlin presented the recommendation and the board voted to approve a combined premium of $120,072 for the 2025-26 policy year.
The meeting record details the cyber premium at $24,063 (a reported decline of 13.9% from the prior year) and a Crisis Protect program fee of $700. The SSCIP invoice included line items and carriers, and the minutes note the pool-wide cyber toolkit and services (phishing training, multi-factor authentication support, external vulnerability scans) that contributed to the district's risk-control approach. The motion to approve was made by Brynn Nordmark and seconded by Brian Greidanus and carried by the board.
