The Marion City Council unanimously adopted the FY 2024-25 budget during a special meeting Dec. 30, 2024. Mayor Daniel Loyola introduced the ordinance and Councilmember Jerry Penshorn moved to adopt the budget; Councilmember Jeremiah Burns seconded the motion and the roll-call vote was recorded as unanimous.
Council members discussed multiple budget line items, including a proposed digital sign. The Council agreed to keep the sign allocation in the adopted budget but to bring that line item back for further consideration at a future meeting, rather than remove it during final adoption.
