Commissioner Sasha L. Rittenhouse opened Aug. 3 by thanking the sheriff’s office, the fair board and other staff for a successful Clark County Fair, noting Clark County is the birthplace of 4‑H and that the fair is a key part of the county’s identity.
"She said she appreciates the leadership in staff," the minutes record, and credited the sheriff’s office and Dean Blair for working together to ensure a good, safe fair. Commissioner Greg R. Kaffenbarger added that seeing the fair from a non‑board perspective underscored how important financial support for sheriff services is to event safety.
