Applicant outlines electrical control building, says construction could begin in fall 2026

It's a 6 ton McCarter asphalt plant that they've had running the facility since 1996," the Presenter said, explaining the site's existing operations. The applicant said the plant currently has 33 motors and 13 junction boxes and that the new building would consolidate and protect control equipment.
On timing, the Presenter said paperwork contained the wrong dates and supplied an updated schedule: "We're looking we if we get, our permit approved, we'd like to begin construction in the fall of 26... get the equipment in sometime during '27, install it the winter in '27, and be online with it the spring of 28." The applicant noted lead times for electrical equipment of roughly 8.5 months.
The Presenter described the building as a concrete structure with ground entryways for wiring, a wood truss and steel roof, and insulated environmental controls; access would be limited to maintenance and electrical work.
Board members did not record any final design conditions at the meeting; they moved to send the referral to the county and scheduled a public hearing so the application can receive public scrutiny and further technical review.
