Resident's request to buy town water parcel will require warned sale, boards say

Penny Wu told the commission that Walter Siegordner had raised the matter at the prior meeting and had expected a decision at the Aug. 4 meeting. Wu said any sale would need to be warned as an agenda item with public notice and would be sold at fair market value. "If the property is to be sold, it would have to be warned and part of an agenda," she said.
Commissioners agreed the decision would likely require coordination with other bodies: Logan Nicoll suggested checking with Loran Greenslet and a joint meeting with Trustees and the Select Board was discussed. BJ Donohue asked whether the town had an urgent cash-flow need; Penny Wu said there was no cash-flow problem and she would float the matter to the Select Board for further guidance.
