The City Council conducted a second reading and voted to adopt amendments to Chapter 5 of the City Code to update Marlin’s animal-control regulations. Dustin Ulmer commented during the discussion; Councilmember Morris Watson made the motion to adopt the ordinance and Councilmember Michael Milnes seconded. The motion carried with Councilmembers Milnes, Watson, Mayor Pro Tem Debra Levels-McDavid, Mayor Susan Byrd and Councilmember Joe Taylor voting aye; Councilmembers Henderson and Sparks were absent.
Council did not record any amendments to the text during the meeting; the ordinance adoption followed the second reading and the changes will be codified in the city code per council direction.
