Levelland council actions: minutes approved, appointments and operational agreements passed; exec session held
Summary
At its Aug. 4 meeting the Levelland City Council approved minutes, reappointed Richard Ellis to the CRMWA, approved a PSC operator services agreement and an interlocal with SPAG for 911 services; an executive session on economic development was convened with no action taken.
The Levelland City Council met Aug. 4 and approved routine meeting business and several agreements.
Council approved the minutes of the July 28 regular meeting and the July 31 special meeting by motion of Bill Powell, seconded by Jaime McCabe. The council also unanimously approved the appointment of Richard Ellis to the Canadian River Municipal Water Authority board (motion by Michael Stueart, seconded by Jaime McCabe), a month-to-month Temporary Operator Services agreement with PSC Water Operating Company to support TCEQ reporting and licensing (motion by Michael Stueart, seconded by Bill Powell), and an interlocal agreement with the South Plains Association of Governments to provide regional 911 PSAP services (motion by Jaime McCabe, seconded by Bill Powell).
Mayor Breann Buxkemper convened council into executive session at 6:50 p.m. under Tex. Gov't Code —551.087 to deliberate economic development negotiations; council returned to open session at 7:25 p.m. and discussed the executive-session items but took no action. The meeting adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
