Board reappoints water board members, approves Make-A-Wish permits and payments

At the Jan. 7 meeting the Richland County Board of Commissioners reappointed Tom Kubela and Gary Friskop to another term on the Water Resource Board after a motion by Commissioner Perry Miller and a second by Commissioner Terry Goerger.
The board also unanimously approved three gaming permits for the Make-A-Wish Foundation following a motion by Commissioner Rollie Ehlert and a second by Commissioner Perry Miller. Later, a motion by Ehlert, seconded by Goerger, approved payment of the bills presented to the board; that vote was unanimous as well.
Administrator Fossum said no other letters of interest were received for the Water Resource Board openings. Fossum said she would respond to a sponsorship request from the Wilkin County Ag Society. No dissent or abstentions were recorded on these items.
