Minn-Dak representatives outlined plans to add a new piling ground this year and asked the Richland County Board of Commissioners for approval to add an approach on County Road 10.
Highway personnel Jesse Sedler introduced Minn-Daks Mike Metzger and John Mattson, who distributed project plans and described the operational need for additional piling capacity. Sedler told commissioners he recommended a traffic study to determine whether a right-turn lane or bypass lane will be required to accommodate truck traffic. Metzger told the board Minn-Dak will conduct the study; the board said it will reconsider the approach request once the study is complete.
The discussion produced no formal vote or approval; the board deferred a decision pending the traffic study. Highway staff and Minn-Dak will return with the study findings for the commission to review.
