Superintendent Search Committee schedules IASB presentation for Oct. 7 ahead of Oct. 14 board meeting

Buck, a member of the Washington Community High School Superintendent Search Committee, said the committee’s previously planned Sept. 22 meeting with IASB was canceled due to scheduling conflicts and that Oct. 7 is the next available date for the IASB presentation.
"Buck noted he would like to have this meeting before the Oct. 14th regular board meeting so an action item could be on the agenda if needed," the minutes state. Committee members confirmed Oct. 7 as the next committee meeting date. IASB is expected to present information to the committee and an executive session will follow the presentation if needed.
The change in schedule means any recommendation produced after the IASB presentation could appear on the school board’s Oct. 14 regular meeting agenda for action. Committee membership on the record for this meeting was Buck, Drum and Funk; additional board member Jennifer Essig and WCHS staff Dr. Freeman attended.
