Dr. Marcia Testa Simonson, chair of the Town of Wellesley Board of Health, moved to approve the Human Relations Service (HRS) contract for fiscal year 2027, saying there were no substantive changes to the agreement other than the funding increase. The motion was seconded by Susie Eklund and passed unanimously. The contract is now in the office for Board signatures.
Deadra Doku-Gardner noted that Town Counsel has signed off on the contract. Dr. Simonson said "there aren’t any changes made to the contract except the amount of funding which has increased," and Ms. Linda Oliver Grape asked whether the funding amounts were already in the town budget; Director Lenny Izzo confirmed there were no budgetary concerns and that HRS will attend the next Board of Health meeting for further discussion. The Board recorded the vote as: Dr. Simonson — yes; Ms. Oliver Grape — yes; Ms. Eklund — yes.
