Elkton Council adopts credit‑card and grants policies
Summary
Council unanimously adopted a new credit card policy requiring staff cardholders to sign a cardholder agreement and approved grants policy and procedures to formalize grant management.
Council Member Jan Hensley moved and Council Member Louis Heidel seconded adoption of a new credit card policy and grants policy and procedures.
The credit card policy requires that staff using Town credit cards sign a cardholder agreement; Council adopted both policies by a unanimous 6–0 voice vote. Council did not attach additional conditions or amendments to the policies during the meeting.
The policies were entered into the meeting record as adopted; staff will administer the cardholder agreements and follow the grants procedures going forward.
