Trustee David Sherman presented the village's proposal to expand sidewalks from John Street to Barton Street and said the plan builds on a CDBG project awarded in 2025. He said the board wanted "to apply for the full amount of $200,000."
Following the presentation, the board adopted Resolution 2026-06 to authorize submission of the 2026 Community Development Block Grant application. Deputy Mayor Hartzog moved to authorize the submission, Trustee Matt Soleau seconded, and all five members present approved the motion. The action directs staff to submit the application for the $200,000 award to fund the sidewalk extension.
