Items read into the record included a pavement reclamation contract for Stout Road of approximately $700,000; a well and pump maintenance and repair services contract of approximately $450,000; a development contract for West Tennessee Bank and a subdivision contract for Oldfield Green; a development contract for Harvest Church parking lot expansion; a PEG disbursement to the Germantown Municipal School District of $21,600; a drone replacement purchase for police of about $42,000; purchases for sports lighting and controls of roughly $150,000; group life and long-term disability policy renewals totaling $300,000; recognition of tree mitigation funds of about $65,000; and a medical and pharmacy stop loss insurance renewal totaling about $768,000.
Alderman Sherry Hicks, who moved approval, highlighted private donors who supported education awards at the meeting: "Some of the most unique things that, or special things that happen in our community do it because of private donors or creative ideas." Clerk Betty called the roll and the consent agenda was adopted.
The mayor noted the cityis growing and pointed to three development contracts approved at this meeting as evidence of ongoing development activity in Germantown.
