On July 28, 2025, the Levelland City Council convened executive sessions under Texas Government Code §551.087 (economic development negotiations), §551.074 (appointment, employment, evaluation, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer — City Manager) and §551.071 (consultation with attorney regarding pending or contemplated litigation). Mayor Breann Buxkemper recessed the open meeting to enter executive session at 6:44 p.m.
The council returned to open session at 8:06 p.m. and the mayor announced that there was "No Action Taken" on items discussed during executive session. The meeting adjourned at 8:44 p.m. There were no votes or personnel actions recorded publicly following the executive sessions.
