Staff also reported that TxDOT is resuming work on College Avenue with an expected completion date of September 1 and that the street seal coat program is scheduled for September 5.
Fisher also noted operational items: first-aid/CPR/AED training for city employees beginning August 1; recent water crew repairs at Sherman and Cherry Streets; assistance from Rinks Lease Service on leak detection and a repair near the wastewater treatment plant; and that MH Construction is mobilizing to begin earthwork next week. The manager alerted council that bills filed in the Special Session of the Legislature could affect municipal authority if passed, but no specific legislative actions were proposed at the meeting.
