Stormwater staff updated the board on several ongoing maintenance and restoration projects. Don Romancak said the Foster Ditch channel cleaning—funded through an H2OH grant—should be finished by the end of May. He reported Gerber Ditch has been stabilized and only planting remains after thawing; Beckett will be invoiced for the remaining 50% and that money was returned to the commissioners as an advance. Romancak said Kelner Ditch work had started and the Village completed improvements on the south side of SR303.
On timing, staff said Mason Main should be completed within 90–120 days of contract work beginning. Regarding Ludwig Ditch, Romancak said tree clearing will occur prior to ditch work "due to the bats" to avoid impacts. Commissioner David J. Moore observed, "we never hear about the thanks you for the non-flooding of property," noting residents rarely report non-occurrence of flooding after projects.
