County engineer says Curtice Ditch restoration will not harm roads or bridges

The Lorain County Engineer's Office told the Board on July 7 that, after review, the proposed Curtice Ditch improvements "will have no adverse effects" on county roads, culverts, bridges or existing maintenance operations, consistent with ORC 6117.01(E). Engineer Peter Zwick provided the technical review to the Board during the public hearing and said he had no additional report.
The technical finding supports a conclusion that the restoration — which includes sediment removal, side-slope work and culvert replacement along roughly 3/4 mile — can proceed without expected negative impacts to adjacent county-maintained infrastructure. The Board recorded the finding in the hearing minutes as part of its adoption language for Resolution 26-389.
