The resolution (26-389) cites R.C. Chapter 6117 and amends the county's General Plan of Drainage to include the Curtice Drainage Improvement Project.
The project will restore the ditch from headwaters at 19828 State Route 301 west to the confluence with previously maintained Curtice Ditch across six parcels and includes a south–north lateral from the roadside ditch off Peck Wadsworth Road to the intersection at 41370 Peck Wadsworth Road. County staff said the improvement is intended to improve the outlet for eight septic systems and to improve drainage along Peck Wadsworth Road and adjacent frontage. Don Romancak of the Lorain County Stormwater Management District said "there will be no assessments and will enhance the properties." The minutes record a motion to close the hearing (moved by Jeff Riddell, seconded by Marty Gallagher) and a unanimous roll-call vote.
