The Little Elm ISD Board of Trustees voted Feb. 16 to accept LIFT grant funds totaling $788,000 to support implementation of Bluebonnet Math K–Algebra II across district campuses for the 2026–2027 school year. Dr. Penny Tramel briefed trustees that the district was notified on Feb. 3, 2026, of the award and said the funding will cover materials and supplies, observations, instructional feedback and coaching for principals and teachers.
Trustee Jason Olson made the motion to accept the grant and Trustee David Montemayor seconded; the motion passed 5–0. According to the presentation, the grant is intended to offset training costs and provide coaching so principals can lead teacher feedback and fidelity of implementation. The board did not list additional conditions or offsets in the open minutes.
