Superintendent Mainka told the Board the district welcomed staff back from winter break, noted an illness season and a two-hour parking update at the Educational Services Building, and announced several event dates: State of the District on Feb. 25, 2026; Coffee with the Superintendent on Jan. 12; and Parent Camp on Jan. 22. He also congratulated student Holden Jackson for participating in the USA Curling National Championship.
Assistant Superintendent Scicluna reported she and Director of Food Service Kim Sinclair completed a kitchen equipment review and that a custodial RFP is in final review and scheduled to kick off on Feb. 2, 2026. Assistant Superintendent Carino reported classroom emergency go bags were prepared for distribution by Dennis Huisman and Cathy Farris and that Educator of the Year nominations open Jan. 9. Assistant Superintendent Giromini previewed I-Ready testing results due to the Curriculum Committee on Feb. 19 and said the 5–12 ELA pilots are wrapping up with math pilots to be discussed at the end of January.
