"We settled on the Genetec system... we will have to replace some hardware in some buildings," the IT lead said, adding the system is scalable and designed with cybersecurity protections in mind.
Funding for $460,000 is in the capital improvement plan; the remaining roughly $241,000 was identified from bond proceeds. Installation and migration were estimated to take several months with phased scheduling to avoid disruption to court operations; badges would be reissued as needed. Commissioners authorized the chairman to sign the contract contingent on the county attorney’s approval.
