The Littlefield ISD Board convened in executive session at 12:34 P.M. under Texas Government Code Section 551.074 to discuss personnel matters and returned to open session at 1:16 P.M. After returning, trustees approved several certified personnel actions and at-will personnel assurances.
On motions recorded in the minutes, the board approved contract extensions for probationary certified staff and term contracts as recommended by Superintendent Mitch McNeese (referred to as Coach McNeese in the minutes), principals, the athletic director and the LCCSA/LCSSA director. The board also approved hiring Alicia Newton (4th grade math teacher) and Kimberlyn Brunet (6th grade math teacher). Resignations presented in the minutes include Ryan Menasco, Tami McGeHee, Crystal Sanders, Carlen Cagle, Mary Jane Rangel and Dina Cristan. "Motion made by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Acevedo to approve the extension of contracts for Probationary Contract Certified Staff Members as recommended by Coach McNeese, Principals, Athletic Director, and LCCSA Director," the minutes state.
The board additionally approved presenting letters of reasonable assurance of employment to all at-will service/support personnel on a motion by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Acevedo.
