Sherwood pool near completion; district boilers updated and portables cleared for installation

Superintendent Jamie Kraatz told the Saginaw Township Board of Education on Oct. 27 that the Sherwood Pool project is nearly complete and that the district has finished project walk-throughs. "The pool is being filled right now and we are nearing the end of the project," Kraatz said, and the district plans a ribbon-cutting and an invited board tour when work is complete.
Kraatz also reported districtwide facilities work: all boilers have been updated and tested and the Saginaw Township Fire Department has scheduled building inspections for Nov. 11, 2025. She said the portables at Weiss and Westdale "have been fully approved and we are ready to move forward to put in the foundation for these," indicating work will begin on site preparations. The board did not take additional action during this report beyond noting the updates and planned community events.
