Lockney council approves maintenance contract for Locust Standpipe and ground storage tank

John Hoffman of USG Water Solutions presented a maintenance, repair and renovation plan for the Locust Standpipe and the Ground Storage Tank. After the presentation the council moved to enter a contract agreement with USG Water Solutions for continuous maintenance, repair and renovations, contingent on approval of the contract by legal counsel.
Councilman Donnie McLaughlin made the motion and Councilwoman Rosio Reyes seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes identify the two storage facilities by name but do not record contract dollar amounts or the schedule for work. The council conditioned final execution on review and approval by the city attorney.
City staff will proceed with contract finalization and bring the executed agreement back to the city record once legal review is complete.
