"I would propose that we ask the city to create a plan, like a 5 year plan for plantings in Centennial and maybe other parts as well," Jeff said, urging the board to draft recommendations and then ask the city to direct staff time for mapping. Kevin and other members supported working with a living document, and members suggested the board could prepare the initial species list and the city would allocate contractor hours to map and pre‑dig holes.
Members discussed staging a field‑trip meeting in August to visit candidate sites and plan for sites that will accept new trees (noting limited space in some parks). The board agreed to assemble a list of 15–20 target species for Centennial as part of a modest multi‑year planting goal (two to three trees per year).
