Grand County EMS to join regional peer-support team; county notes $1.8M DOLA grant for Station 1

Austin Wingate (speaker 12), Grand County EMS chief, asked commissioners to authorize the EMS chief or a designee to sign an affiliation agreement with the High Country peer support team so local certified peer supporters can be available regionally. Wingate said there is no financial cost to the department and recommended authorizing Steven Rubenstein to sign the agreement.
Commissioners approved the affiliation and signed authorization. Wingate also shared that Grand County EMS "surpassed the national average for patient satisfaction" in recent patient-survey results and that a DOLA Energy and Impact Assistance grant of $1,800,000 will go toward the EMS Station 1 project.
