Grand County housing authority to accept $55,000 Grand Foundation grant for Cliffview boiler

Sheena Darland (speaker 13), director of the Grand County Housing Authority, asked the commission to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Grand Foundation for a $55,000 grant to support a new boiler at Cliffview Assisted Living Center. Darland said the replacement project is anticipated to cost about $135,000 and that the housing authority has an outstanding grant application to Freeport expected to be decided in November to cover additional costs.
Commissioners moved and approved the Grand Foundation Grant Fund Memorandum of Understanding and authorized the chair to sign. The board noted that legal had reviewed the document and directed staff to proceed with necessary signatures.
