Members raised funding and program‑continuity concerns. Dr. Schishler asked whether the district is planning alternatives if federal Head Start funding changes; Dr. Gruver said the district will "proceed with continuing to apply for available grants" and currently expects state grant monies to remain available. The committee asked for more detail on supports for pre‑K social‑emotional and behavioral needs for children born during the COVID pandemic; Dr. Gruver said the district will provide restorative‑practice training and other supports for staff and families.
