The county assessor presented the annual abstract of assessment, a state-required report due Aug. 25 that summarizes assessed values by property class. The assessor said the draft is based on residential assessment rate assumptions of 6.25% for non-school (local) and 7.05% for school-assessed residential values; she cautioned the state will determine final assessment rates after reviewing county abstracts.
A commissioner moved to authorize the chair to sign the abstract for submission to the state under CRS provisions. The board approved the motion. Staff said final certification and any needed adjustments will follow the state determination expected in late October or early November.
