BOCC accepts federal and state grants for Kremmling Airport apron rehabilitation

Sean Mahorney, presenting on behalf of county airports, asked commissioners to accept two grants for the Kremmling Airport apron rehabilitation project: an Airport Infrastructure Grant reported at $858,000 (including state allocation) and an Airport Improvement Program grant reported near $925,000. Mahorney said accepting the offers and grant assurances will allow the county to complete apron rehabilitation before the next busy season and that DocuSign documents were being routed for signatures, including county-attorney review.
Mahorney also explained a categorical-exclusion form for a new blast fence at the airport and asked the board to authorize the chair to sign. Commissioners moved to accept the grants and approved signature authority; staff will forward signed documents to FAA and county attorney for final processing.
